Nihonbashi is a hub of innovation overflowing with creativity, where diverse crafts have gathered and evolved in response to changing times and lifestyles.
Tokyo The Tokyo Creative Salon held in Nihonbashi in 2026 will focus on the numerous crafts rooted in Nihonbashi.
Under the theme “Nihonbashi Open Craft,” it will offer a walking-style experience that allows visitors to glimpse behind the scenes of crafts not usually seen, thereby rediscovering the value of Nihonbashi.
The 2026 Tokyo Creative Salon will provide an opportunity to encounter
Japanese craftsmanship, continuously updated in Nihonbashi—a city where tradition and innovation intersect.

At the event's entrance, “Open Craft Park,” we will feature the main installation “Nihonbashi Koi Nobori Now!” installation, centered around Reiko Sudo.
It also features displays of products available at participating shops, screens videos highlighting the charm of these shops, and offers a stamp rally program, serving as a comprehensive information hub.

“Open Craft Branch” invites you to discover and engage with the diverse crafts found throughout the Nihonbashi district, with each participating shop offering its own unique viewing and hands-on experience.
In collaboration with Nihonbashi-based craft shops and companies, the program features original workshops specially developed for Tokyo Creative Salon Nihonbashi, as well as seasonal workshops inspired by cherry blossoms that evoke the feeling of spring.
By coming into direct contact with the skills and passion of the makers and experiencing part of the crafting process firsthand, participants can gain a deeper appreciation of the rich craft culture that continues to thrive in Nihonbashi.
